Horton Rd. Pond House

The Pond House was a revert-to-dirt, and start again; built over an existing thirty-by-sixty structure, which only had plans to re-purpose the foundation. We designed a new program to the layout over the same limited footprint, adding contemporary essentials to enhance the circulation and bring life back to the property. Nestled in the serene landscape, the house and workshop both index local material and contrast against it, fitted with modern efficiencies, fixtures and finishes to minimize its energy impact and situate a balance among the trees and the man-made water feature.
